Blackheath Halls

Overview

We are an events, arts and community venue in the heart of South East London, sitting at the top of Blackheath Village, 5 minutes from the nearest train station. Our ambition is to ensure we provide a warm, welcoming and accessible space for everyone. A registered charity since 1983, our beautiful Grade II listed building was built with the purpose of hosting live events and our aim is to continue this legacy, presenting a calendar of events throughout the year, where there is something for everyone. As well as the live events programme we also run an outstanding popular community participation programme for people of all ages including a youth choir, orchestra, gospel chorus and community opera. We have two performance spaces, a 500 seater Great Hall where the vaulted ceiling has some of the best acoustics in the UK and a smaller, more intimate space accessible by a lift, The Hearn Recital room, which seats 150.
