Access guidance
- A dedicated accessible entrance for major ticketed events, this is a priority entrance for those with accessibility tickets only. Please note this is on the West of the site so may be a longer distance to travel depending on where you enter Hyde Park, however this entrance offers a hard standing path along the event perimeter and then inside the event to the Viewing Platform and Ground Level Viewing Area. Please note that accessibility tickets can also enter via any of the general admission entrances, and there is a 1.2m wide or greater entrance lane at each.
- Charging points for power chairs are located on the Viewing Platform. There are also lowered counters at 'bars, merchandise stands, and some food outlets.' In addition, there are a number of viewing platforms at the festival. To book accessible tickets, visitors must go onto the website, click on the show they are going to see and show their Access Card.
- Blue Badge car parking spaces are 'limited to one per paying customer', and will be free of charge when booking event tickets. 'Arrival forms' will be sent to visitors who require a Blue Badge space. In addition, there is an accessible buggy service, which will transport people from the accessible car park to the accessible event entrance. Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park takes place on the Parade Ground on the East Side of Hyde Park. The area is predominantly grass, with limited hard standing pathways. In the event of bad weather, mud and puddles are likely. Information about the location of the event in Hyde Park can be found at the royal parks website, as well as further information about the park itself. All access to the site entrances is along level hard standing paths apart from a gentle gradient from Serpentine Road to the Accessible Entrance. There are tarmacked paths from the Accessible Entrance all the way to the Viewing Platform / Ground Level Viewing Area, although accessible ticketholders can also choose to enter through the North or South Entrances Viewing Platform & Ground Level Viewing Area - to - nearest general admission Bar = 130m Viewing Platform & Ground Level Viewing Area - to - Nearest general admission Food vendors = 200m
- There are accessible toilets with hand washing facilities on site, which includes the Viewing Platform/ Ground Level Viewing Area. Radar keys can be obtained from the toilet supervisors, who will be located at the accessible toilets, Accessible Customer Service Hub and the Welfare Tent. In addition, there is a Changing Places Facility on site. This is located at the sanitation block, 'nearest to the Viewing Platform/Ground Level Viewing Area.'

- Cardholders with a '+1' symbol on their card will be entitled to a free PA ticket. In order for the visitor to receive this, they must first select the show they are going to see on the British Summer Time website. Next the visitor must complete the 'Supporting Document Form'. The visitor's Access Card will need to be shown prior to the event. - Hearing Loops are located at one of the Box Office windows and Accessible Customer Services Hub. Facilities installed with Hearing Loops are clearly marked with stickers. In addition, all acts on the main stage have BSL Performance Interpreters for all six shows. In order for visitors to be able to see the interpreters face-to-face, visitors will need to go to the Accessible Customer Service Hub on arrival.
- Most performances will feature strobe lighting. In addition, medication can be stored in the on-site refridgerator, which is located at the 'event First Aid point at the North of the site'. As well as this, the festival is able to provide a quiet space for people who would like to get away from the crowd. This is located in the Welfare Tent in the North of the site.
