Access guidance
- There is a lift by the Dean's Steps on the north east side of the Cathedral to enable wheelchair users to gain access to the Quire. There's also one permanent ramp for wheelchair users, and that is into the Crypt from the north door.
- All enquiries about disabled parking should be made, in advance if possible, to Cathedral House (telephone 01227 762862).
- The accessible toilet is at the south east end of the Cathedral, 135 metres from the Welcome Centre.
- Assistance dogs welcome.
- Special arrangements can be made in advance through the Visits Office (tel. 01227 762862, visits@canterburycathedral.org) for specialised tours for all visitors with disabilities, this includes tours for people with a visual impairment. A Touch and Hearing Centre is available for people with a visual impairment. Please ask for assistance at the Welcome Centre.
