Access guidance
- If you have any difficulty with standing and queuing please let a member of staff know and they will be able to fasttrack your and your family to buy your tickets or to find a quieter space.
- 90% of the venue is accessible to wheelchair users. There is level access from the Abbey Church Yard entrance to most of the ground floor areas including the 18th century Pump Room, the Sun Lounge which overlooks the hot spring and the outside Terrace which overlooks the Great Bath. There are four accessible lifts. There are three wheelchairs and a mobility scooter available to use on a first-come-first-served basis. Please also note that the original Roman paving around the great Bath is extremely uneven.
- There are accessible toilets on site.
- Accompanying carers go free.
- Braille information and tactile models are available. Descriptive audioguides and braille transcripts are also available. Object-handling sessions can be arranged. Please contact the Bookings Office for more information.
- British Sign Language interpreted tours are available. Audioguides and transcripts are also available. Audio guides are compatible with the "T" switch on hearing aids.
- There is the option of either a hand-held audioguide or an earpiece or a headphones. Some parts of the venue are underground and some walkways are narrow. Please contact a member of staff for more information and to request an alternative route. We provide Dementia Friends Sessions to our front-of-house teams.
