Stonedead Festival

Overview
Stonedead Productions Ltd was formed from a group of veteran rockers who way back when would spend every year, throughout the the 80's and into the 90's, at the legendary Monsters of Rock festival in Donington Park. We got together on the Donington Monsters of Rock & Download Veterans facebook page to share our stories and tales of festivals gone past. Swapping stories of those fantastic days of Monsters of Rock festival made us all realise just how much we miss that old school festival vibe. When you didn't have to pay for an overpriced ticket, you could pitch your tent next to you car with your friends and hang out with a few beers and JD's the night before and wake up ready to rock! One day, 9 bands, crash out back at your tent, drive home Sunday and try and recover ready for work on Monday morning! The Stonedeaf family has grown since the initial founding members and we now have an incredible gang of people taking care of everything to give you all the perfect festival experience, that we all miss and most definitely want One Day. One Stage. One Monster Show………..

Access guidance
- In the arena itself the ground is very flat with hard walkways around the perimeter and good drainage. All food and drink stands and merchandise stalls will be located close to the walkway. There will be a safe viewing platform which will be able to accommodate anyone who informs us in advance they will be attending. The viewing platform will be manned by volunteers to offer any help required and will be positioned to make sure you still feel part of the festival. Disabled toilets will be located close by. We have sheltered premises indoors where you can get away from the crowd and the noise for a while, sit down, relax and feel at home. This is going to be right next door to the first aid team. So, if you are feeling a bit fragile, you can still come along and enjoy yourself.
- We have an accessibility viewing platform in the arena which gives great views of the stage. This platform is for the use of those accessibility ticket holders who are wheelchair users and those with a physical disability which prevents them from standing or sitting in a camping chair on the arena grassed area. PAs may accompany an accessibility ticket holder on the platform. However should the platform become busy and space be needed to allow more accessibility patrons onto the platform, a PA may be asked to come off, to free up space, but remain in the platform vicinity in case their help is required by the ticket holder.
- Stonedead Festival offers free places for personal assistants/carers, if an accessibility ticket holder would be unable to attend the festival without that person to assist them.
