"The Design Museum is the only place in the UK where the design industry, education and the public can come together to change the way people think about themselves and the future. The museum is a registered charity founded in 1989. It relocated to a spectacular modern landmark in Kensington in 2016 and has welcomed over one and a half million visitors since re-opening."

Access guidance
- All areas of the Design Museum are accessible by level access or by lift. There is ample seating in the public spaces of the museum. A limited number of wheelchairs are available and should be booked at least 24 hours before.
- 2 disabled parking spaces are available and it is suggested that bookings are made at least 72 hours (especially for weekend visits) before however bookings after this time may be possible. Please call our access team or submit an online enquiry.
- Wheelchair-accessible toilets are located on the ground floor of the museum.
- All assistance dogs are welcome.
- Entry to the museum is available at a concessionary rate for all disabled visitors, with free entry for accompanying carers.
- Magnifying panels are available for use to assist with reading the texts and captions in exhibitions and displays, please ask any member of staff.
- There are hearing loops installed in key spaces in the building including the Bakala Auditorium, Admissions desk and retail points
