Overview
"At 135m, Coca-Cola London Eye is the world's largest cantilevered observation wheel. It was conceived and designed by Marks Barfield Architects and was launched in 2000. It has won over 85 awards for national and international tourism, outstanding architectural quality and engineering achievement. In fact, it has become the UK's most popular paid for visitor attraction. A remarkable feat of design and engineering, the London Eye gave London's skyline a dramatic new addition and has been offering guests a new perspective on London ever since. Originally, it was intended as a temporary structure, able to be dismantled and transported to a new location, and had planning permission for just five years. But with millions boarding it every year, its popularity has prompted its lease to be extended. Today it is a permanent fixture on the London skyline and a beautiful symbol of modern London."

Access guidance
- To board The Coca-Cola London Eye, there will be an element of queuing, however for those who are unable to stand for longer periods of time or do not understand the concept of queuing can have our assisted boarding service.
- To book a Wheelchair Time slot for the Coca-Cola London Eye and/or the London Eye River Cruise, please visit our Accessibility page and complete a form providing us the relevant details to complete your booking. Due to health and safety we are only permitted to allow entry to two wheelchair users per capsule and eight on the Coca-Cola London Eye at any one time. For the London Eye River Cruise, we can accommodate a maximum of 3 wheelchairs per cruise. Please note, we're unable to make on the day bookings for wheelchair slots. For on the day visits, please speak to our onsite team to discuss the remaining availability. During peak times time slots do sell out quickly and therefore strongly recommend pre-booking in advance. Our team aim to respond within 48 hours of receiving your request.
- If you purchase an advance ticket from our website or from any other company you will be issued with an extra free ticket for your carer when you arrive and produce any of the below documentation. • Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or Personal Independent payments for those aged 16-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book • Attendance Allowance or Carer's Allowance letter of award • Incapacity Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded • A Blue or Orange badge, or • In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI). • International Proof of Disability (ISA (international symbol of access) or similar must be printed on it)
