Tron Theatre

Overview
Tron Theatre has been a major player in Glasgow's cultural scene for over twenty years. Producing and presenting an eclectic collection of new writing, reinvigorated contemporary classics, dance, comedy and music, the Tron occupies a spot in Glaswegian hearts as unique as the building that houses it– the 16th century Tron kirk, survivor of over 500 years of cultural change and social upheaval.

Access guidance
- Our venue has step free access into the premises, level access throughout, and lift access to above ground level floors. The Box Office, foyer area and Cafe/Bar are open all day (unless otherwise stated). We aim to open the auditorium doors for customers to take their seats 30mins prior to the performances start time. This allows customers to avoid queues generated by the rush nearer "curtain up".
- Due to the design of our seating bank, we need to remove seats to create wheelchair spaces, which cannot be done online. To book you will need to contact the Box Office directly via the phone, or in person.
- The premises is quite compact with short distances between different areas. However, we do have additional staff to help support anyone who requires it, and we offer a 'pre-order to seat' service from our Cafe/Bar for arrival orders, and where applicable, interval orders.
- Toilets are closely located to both our auditoriums and within the Cafe/Bar. Each area of the premises has a disabled toilet.
- We welcome Assistance Dogs throughout the premises and can provide water if required. Our auditoriums are quite tight for space, and we're happy to provide a free ticket so your dog has it's own space during the performance, which cannot be booked online. To book you will need to contact the Box Office directly via the phone, or in person.
- A free carer ticket is provided to those who require additional assistance from another person in order for them to attend our venue. This person DOES NOT have to be a registered carer to qualify. We recognise this may change depending on the level of assistance that is needed and are happy to have a discussion with anyone who falls into this category. To book you will need to contact the Box Office directly via the phone, or in person.
- All print produced by Tron Theatre is available in large print upon request, with reasonable notice, we can accommodate other types of requests i.e. printed on yellow paper, specific size/font etc. We also provide Captioning services for all Tron Theatre productions. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that companies who tour productions to us can provide the same thing, but again, with reasonable notice we can do our best to accommodate reasonable requests. All productions that have additional services (both produced by Tron Theatre and other theatre companies) are listed and promoted on the Access Scottish Theatre website, print and social networks.
- For all Tron Theatre productions, we offer British Sign Language and Audio Description services, depending on the show, this could be integrated into the performance or a standard service. We also produce British Sign Language adverts. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that companies who tour productions to us are able to do the same. There is also and induction loop located at our Box Office, and Assisted Listening is available in our auditoriums. Audio Description and Assisted Listening services are via MobileConnect, powered by Sennheiser, which utilises mobile technology and is compatible with headphones, cochlear implants or hearing aids (with the aid of a neck loop). If you require a neck loop to use your hearing aid, please contact the Box Office directly.
- We believe everyone deserves to experience the work we produce and are open to having conversations with customers who have specific and unique needs to see what reasonable adjustments can be made. Again, please contact us directly via Box Office. Currently we're working on our systems to update online booking options for our customers with additional access needs. Please bear with us while we carry out this work.
