Access guidance
- The Stalls are fully accessible with accommodation for up to 10 wheelchairs. The Grand Circle foyer is accessible for wheelchair users, with accommodation for 2 wheelchairs. The bar area is not fully accessible, however staff are available to assist with drinks orders. The Upper Circle foyer is wheelchair accessible, however there is no accommodation for wheelchairs in the auditorium at this level. The Upper Circle is not suitable for those with walking difficulties or vertigo. There is level access to the ground floor, accessible from the Grindlay Street side of the building at the new wing. There is lift access to all levels of the hall. There are 12 wheelchair accessible spaces (Stalls x 10, Grand Circle x 2). Please advise the Box Office when booking if you require one.
- Disabled people who hold a valid blue badge can park for free and spaces are located across from the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Grindlay Street and in Cambridge Street outside the Traverse Theatre. Blue badge holders can also park in pay and display with no time limit and can also park on single and double yellow lines (subject to some constraints). Further information can be found at www.direct.gov.uk If you are arriving by taxi or being dropped off at the venue, we recommend you use Grindlay Street, which is adjacent to the level access podium.
- Assistance dogs are welcome.
- Concession prices are only available for certain performances. Please ask when you book or check online. We cannot offer online booking for wheelchair spaces at this time. Please call the box office on 0131 228 1155.
- For hearing aid users, a loop system is in place. To access this facility, please switch your hearing aid to the T position.
