Delivering theatre workshops for all ages, in weekly classes and in holiday schools. Touring theatre, mainly around rural venues in Ayrshire but occasionally across Scotland. Partnering with a network of local organisations to put culture and inclusion at the heart of local economic regeneration and community health and wellbeing.

Access Card notes
We are a registered Scottish charity. We have very diverse audiences attending a variety of different genres of theatre. Our aim is to make theatre accessible to all and to be able to provide support to those who need it. By joining the Access Card Scheme, this will allow us offer Access Card Holders, who have the carer element on their card, 1 free companion ticket to attend a show. This would create opportunities for more people to access the theatre.
This provider accepts the Access Card as supporting documentation for accessible facilities and tickets.

Access guidance
- We have seating available in our public areas and we open our Main Auditorium 30mins prior to a performance in order to allow people to take their seats as soon as they can.
- We have level access to the building and can accommodate up to 6 wheelchair users in our main auditorium. We have a lift for access to our studio theatre and we also have evac chairs in the event of an evacuation, along with fully trained staff and volunteers in how to use these. We have one designated disabled toilet on the level that can accommodate wheelchairs and mobility scooters with ease. Our café/bar is also on the level with full access. Our Box Office also has level access with the lower down counter top.
- Our venue is located in the town centre. We have car parking right next to the venue, although this is not owned by us. There is also lots of street parking available too.
- We have 1 designated gender neutral disabled toilet on the lower level and we also have both Male and Female toilet access on the lower level - each with several cubicles. We have 2 sets of female toilets on our upper level with several cubicles and 1 set of male toilets on this level too. On our third floor we have 2 gender neutral self-contained toilets. All of these facilities are quickly and easily accessible from anywhere in the building.
- We have welcomed assistance dogs into our venue on many occasions. We provide a water bowl for the dogs and we have a grassed area in the car park right next to the venue (this is a public car park, not owned by the venue) for any toilet needs. Assistance Dogs are made welcome in any public areas of our venue.
- We are a registered Scottish charity and are looking at moving forward with being able to support those who require it. At the moment, we are looking to be able to provide free entry for an essential carer/companion with presentation of the Access Card. This would help us as an organisation to be able to offer support to our community where it is required.
- We offer Audio Described performances where we can.
- We have a fully installed hearing loop that is accessed via a smartphone app - we can also provide the device to access this if required. We have BSL interpreted performances where we can. Our staff have completed a Deaf Awareness course.
- We are continuously working hard to improve accessibility at our venue. We seek advice and support from external organisations to ensure that we are getting it right. We have recently engaged 2 Deaf Performers for our annual Christmas Pantomime, and are working with interpreters and organisations to ensure that this step is a positive one. We are passionate about offering the arts to as many people as we can, and we will continue to work towards making our venue as accessible as we possibly can.
