Overview
"The first thing that strikes you when you arrive at Higher Farm is the sense of space – the farm sits high on the east shoulder of the valley of the River Dee, giving it panoramic views across the Cheshire Plain to the Clwydian Hills. These hills mark the start of the Welsh uplands, and must have defined the divide between peoples and powers ever since these lands were settled."
