Portmeirion is a folly tourist village in Gwynedd, North Wales. It lies on the estuary of the River Dwyryd in the community of Penrhyndeudraeth, 2 miles from Porthmadog and 1 mile from Minffordd railway station.

Access guidance
- The main access areas into Portmeirion Village is a tarmac road, however this is a sloped path. There are then various terrains within the grounds which include areas of; cobbles, slopes, steps, grass, sand and water. Some of the various terrain paths are accessible by wheelchair if you are accompanied by a suitable person to guide and push the wheelchair around or mobility scooters, may be used. The Gwyllt/woodlands, does have 20 miles of dedicated pathways however not all of the paths will be suitable for all mobility aids/wheelchairs or mobility scooters, due to the protruding tree roots, fallen leaves and uneven ground.
- We have a dedicated Blue badge car park close to the main entrance. We also have allocated spaces in our main car park. Please display your valid Blue Badge in the window of your vehicle. (If you are not in receipt of a valid blue badge, please follow the directions to the main car park and select a suitable parking space for your needs.)
- We kindly ask if you are visiting Portmeirion with an assistance | guide dog/pet, that your dog/pet wears a working coat, collar or lead, which will help identify them to our staff. Our staff have received training and are aware of behavioural traits that should be displayed by an assistance dog/pet as outlined by all guidelines in line with the equality and human rights act. We do reserve the right of refusal if we believe the animal is not an assistance | guide dog/pet.
- discounted ticket, is available if a carer is required to assist you. This discounted ticket is only valid for one person, and they must be accompanying a person who is the owner of a valid blue badge/PIP/DLA or equivalent DWP letter and requires assistance to visit. Please bring proof with you of your entitlement. A clear photo of the front and rear of your valid blue badge is acceptable, as the original will need to be displayed in your car or a valid letter from DWP. Please note that without valid proof, full price will be charged at the toll gate.
- Windows and glass doors have contrast markings and steps are marked by high visibility markings. Main information signs are in large print and we offer several soundscapes throughout the Village as well as our new app which maybe downloaded. Some areas of the venue are in low lighting. There are uneven footpaths around the Village, and we urge all visitors to take care when navigating these areas.
