Access guidance
- Please contact a member of staff, upon arrival, if travelling by public transport. A member of staff will collect you and take you to the drop off point in the car park.
- The festival is located on 'predominantly flat' ground and therefore is accessible for wheelchair users. However, some areas on the campsite can be uneven and affected by the weather. There is also a viewing platform at the venue. To book a space on the platform, the visitor must complete the "Disabled Viewing Platform" section in the Accessible Request form. The disabled person can take an essential companion with them onto the platform, but no more than 2 people from each party can use the viewing platform at the same time.
- "The festival site is fairly compact, offering short distances to travel between the Accessible Campsite and all the main festival stages. Distance between key locations for 2019 TBC, these were the distances between the Accessible Campsite and key locations in 2018: Main Stage – 145 metres Starbase Standon (Stage 2) – 370 metres Laundry Meadows – 175 metres First Aid – 140 metres Accessible Weekend Car Park – 1 metre "
- "There are disabled toilets located in the accessible campsite, the main stage viewing platform and in the first aid tent. All toilets are located either in back of house, or will be monitored by stewards, so there is no need for a radar key. Your wristband will grant you toilet access at all of these facilities. There are also accessible toilets located in each toilet block in the arena, these are padlocked and require a code to gain access."
- Assistant Dogs are welcome at the venue. Please make the staff aware in advance. In addition, there are water points around the venue.
- Access Card holders with a '+1' on their card are entitled to take an essential companion with them free of charge. An additional form will need to be filled in along with the Access Card. Please note, essential companion tickets should not be purchased as they will not be refunded.
- Large print programmes can be provided upon request, which should be in advance.
- Hearing induction loops have been installed in both the accessible accreditation cabin and in the information tent. In addition, the venue are in talks with 'Performance Interpreting' for interpreted performances. Please contact the venue if you would like more information: access@standon-calling.com
- Some performances feature strobe lighting. There is a medication fridge located in the accessible camp, as well as '24 hour medical and welfare facilities'. Please complete the Fridge section in the Accessible Request form. The Accessible Camp includes: accessible toilets, accessible showers, a covered charging point for electric wheelchairs and a kettle. Due to limited space, visitors must book the Accessible Camp in advance and restrict their party to a maximum of 4 adults (including the disabled person and essential companion). If children are staying with the party, please let the venue know in advance. In addition, free accessible parking is available. To reserve a space, visitors must complete the "Accessible Parking" section in the Accessible Request form.
