Access guidance
- The 90-minute, outdoor tour covers rough terrain, gradients, slopes and grass. Manual wheelchair users may need to bring a personal asssitant with them. We have a small number of parking spaces available at the Village for those from whom coach travel will be difficult. For full details on eligibility please see our full access statement. Mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs are permitted but need to be capable of handling gradients, running on grass, gravel and fitting through standard door openings. Guests must ensure they have sufficient power for the duration of the tour.
- We welcome all registered guide dogs, hearing dogs and medical alert dogs. Please ensure you have formal identification for your guide dog. A water bowl in the guest facilities area at the start and end of the tour.
- Visually impaired guests are invited to listen to the auditory parts of the guided tour but due to the nature of the working set, there are no props or costumes availble to handle.
- A printed script is available for guests with hearing difficulties, please ask your guide for a copy at the start of your tour. We also arrange British Sign Language tours at various times throughout the year.
