The Light Cinema aims to provide a unique entertainment experience in a friendly relaxed environment that offers excellent customer service and value for money. The Light Sheffield is an nine-screen cinema with state of the art digital picture and sound auditoriums and VIP luxury seating. We show the latest in blockbusters, independent and international films, plus the best live opera, ballet, theatre and pop concerts from around the globe, including Royal Opera House, English National Opera and more. Our comfortable licensed café bar - the green room - is a great place to meet friends before or after the movie or simply enjoy a coffee, light snack, glass of wine or a beer. All our screens are fully licensed, so you can enjoy a drink while watching the movie

Access guidance
- All of our screens are fully accessible with wheelchair spaces and there is a lift to access our foyer. In the majority of our screens, the wheelchair spaces are at the front of the screen. If you would like to watch a film in a particular screen, please enquire with a member of staff who will be able to inform you which screen it is playing in.
- Access Card - Entitles the holder's carer to go for free when accompanying them. Carers Card - Entitles holder to discounted tickets to all our films
- We have a system that provides audio commentary for our visually impaired customers. Please speak to a member of staff to find out whether this works for your film.
- We have a digital system for Hearing loops are installed throughout the cinema and we offer regular subtitled screenings. Please see our subtitled screenings page for details of what's coming up. If you would like to see a particular film that's not listed, please let us know. Headsets are available to use. Please ask a member of staff for more information.
- We run autism-friendly screenings. They are run without adverts and film trailers, the lights are dimmed but not turned off and the sound is lowered. All screenings are put on our autism friendly page once they are planned in.
