Access Card notes
We work hard to welcome everyone at our railway. An access statement is available via our website. Two of our vintage carriages have been specially adapted for wheelchair users. Please contact us for more information and to book an accessible space. Access Card Holder. An Essential Companion travels free. Valid only when a current Access Card with +1 symbol is presented.

Access guidance
- Our staff will assist with finding somewhere to sit while waiting and ensuring queuing is bypassed where appropriate.
- Both of our stations have full disabled access. Wheelchair spaces on our trains are limited. The are accessed via our wheelchair lifts. If you wish to use these facilities, we request that passengers book beforehand via our office so our staff can be ready to assist you during your visit. Due to the heritage nature of our trains, we are unable to accommodate electric mobility scooters and some larger motorised wheelchairs. If in doubt about whether we will be able to accommodate you, please contact us. Both our terminus Stations are fully accessible with step-free access from the street to our platforms. - There are disabled car parking bays at both stations. There are shallow ramps leading to both Llanfair Caereinion and Welshpool Stations.
- Toilet facilities are available on the Welshpool and Llanfair platforms. The disabled facilities include reduced height fixtures and an emergency alarm pull-cord. There are no toilet facilities on any of our trains
- Dogs are welcome, there are grassed areas nearby and water bowls available.
- Essential companions travel free on production of an Access card with the +1 symbol.
