"We are pleased to offer Hāpai Access Card holders the same rate as a senior citizen for tickets. We appreciate that some of our customers will need the support of a carer to enjoy Silky Otter Cinemas. So if you have the "+1" icon on your card we will give your carer a free ticket sitting next to you. Please ensure you call us 03 740 2155 so we can arrange your visit."
Access guidance
- At Silky Otter Cinemas you will be greeted by one of our staff who will assist you in getting your tickets, ordering food and drinks and showing you to your seats. If there is a queue and you cannot stand for that long, please take any available seat, or if none are available then please waive your card.
- The Silky Otter Cinema has been built with access for wheelchair users in mind. Within the cinemas the space for wheelchairs is at the back of the cinema. The toilet facilities are just off of the bar seating area. As always our staff will assist you upon arrival and to your seat.
- If you need assistance in getting around the Silky Otter Cinemas please make our staff aware and they will be happy to assist you. The best drop-off point is on Runway Road and it is a 30m walk to the entrance. The bus stop is on Corsair Drive and is an 80m walk.
- There are eight toilets at Silky Otter Cinemas and a sign at the entrance shows which ones are free. If none are free and there is a queue, show your card to the nearest staff member and they will assist you.
- We welcome customers with registered assistance dogs. Unregistered support dogs or pets will not be allowed access.

- Upon arrival at Silky Otter Cinemas a staff member will greet you and assist you in using the touch screens. They will explain to you the options available to you and will confirm with you your choices. A member of staff will also assist you to your seat and explain the controls.
- Our staff will look to assist you based on the degree to which you have difficulty with audible information. This could include from speaking more slowly, through to writing down information and the use of the NZ Relay Services.
- Upon arrival our staff will ask you how they might assist you in making your visit to Silky Otter Cinemas as enjoyable as possible. Please help them to help you by explaining what would help.
